About

TRestructure is a non-visible component developed to make database table restructuring easy and effective. It's highly optimized code makes changes to table structure fast and simple. You can add or move fields, insert field at specified position, or change field description. Adding, changing or deleting validity checks has never been easier, including lookup tables. Referential integrity checks, passwords (both primary and any number of auxiliary, as well as setting specific field rights for any auxiliary password) and primary index changes are as easy as setting a few properties and calling TRestructure's Apply method. Now you have full control over table's structure.

The unique component design provides you with capability to apply or cancel multiple changes with simple call to the appropriate method. TRestructure is built around BDE's DbiDoRestructure, helping you to keep focus on program and table design, not on all those pointers and structures. We developed it to save you from having to cope with "C-like" BDE functions - all you will deal with is 100% pure VCL. And best of all, it's unbelievably easy to maintain your tables with just a few lines of code - something you would have to develop for days (if not weeks) and write at least a few hundred lines of code that is pretty difficult to read.

Options

There are two versions of TRestructure component:

The Pro version has all the functionality of Lite version plus it gives you the ability to add, change or delete referential integrity constraints, create, delete or change the primary index and add, change or remove primary password as well as auxiliary password(s). You can also set specific field rights for any user. Note that all this refers to Paradox tables only, not dBase.
